Masjid Rahmah 7th Annual Educational Seminar July 01 – July 04 2011

February 7, 2011

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
We are told by our noble brother Abu Muhammad Al-Maghribi (former Imam of Masjid Rahmah Newark, NJ) on Friday June 17, 2011 at the NJ Salafi Conference in Cherry Hill that we should keep our distance from any event arranged by Masjid Rahmah Administration until they rectify their affair. This conference is solely run, arranged, and organized by Masjid Rahamah administration and they chose Tahir Wyatt over Shaykh Rabee’s statement. More information regarding this issue can be obtained from Abu Yusuf Khaleefah’s blog.

Shaykh Rabee’s Praise and Defence of Abu Muhammad al-Maghribee [In Light of Recent Attacks] updated on 6/30/2011

You can listen to Abu Muhammad’s resignation from the following video:

As salaamu alaykum. This will be my first time attending the conference. I have already booked my room what I would like to know is do I have to pay for the registration before I check in or when I check in?? On the flyer above it indicates there is a $10 registration fee or $30 for all four days yet Im unsure at to how to pay the registration fee

    • Walaikum salam warahmatullah,

What I know from the previous Masjid Rahmah conferences is that that they open the registration after the Jummah (Friday) prayer. They will make a line and then everyone will go through the registration process. I wouldn’t get worried about the registration since you already booked the hotel room.

      BarakAllahu feekum,

    • Walaikum Salam,

The Masjid Rahmah conference will be at the Sheraton Hotel and I don’t think there is any masjid close to this hotel wAllahu alam.

Salamu Alaykum. Has anybody heard Masjid Rahmah Administration speak there side of the story or are we one sided. This is the Same Masjid Rahmah that for years has been calling to the Dawah As salafi. The Administration that has kept in contact with the Ulema since they opened their doors. Abu Layla delivered a talk a few days ago. He mentioned they had been advised by some of the Ulema not to speak about the present matter and were also advised to keep Tahir’s name on the flier. (May Allah rectify his affair if he has done wrong or if he has been wronged). Some of the Ulema mentioned were Shaykh Salih as Suhaymee and Shaykh Khalid ar Radaadee and Shaykh Ali Faqeehee.(Forgive my spelling). And I love Abu Muhammad (for Allah) He was my Imam for many years, and the community and brothers at Masjid Rahmah I love them too, and I love Ahl Sunnah, The ulema and The Haqq. But their is always two sides to every story. And since both (Abu Muhammad and the Admin) sought advice from the Ulema Insha Allah it will be worked out. The upcoming Conference ma sha Allah if you attend or chose not to Allah is the controller of all affairs. We need to love for our brothers what we love for ourselves. And refer all matters back to Allah and his Messenger. Salamu Alaykum

Brothers and sister please don’t blow in the wind like a leaf going anywhere the wind takes you. Seek knowledge and do not be a muqallid blind follower of any of these weak da’ees . You are your own savior. Allah says in Qur’an “O you who believe, save yourselves and family from the Fire whose fuel is men and stone’ surah/chapter 66 ayat/verse 6 …?… Who is a this abu yusuf ? Why are you promoting his speech? abu yusuf is NO khaleefah that’s for sure. the objective for the salafees is to rectify in the best way not to abandon one another and blind follow small ones. I know many of you may hold your brother daees in a position far above what they truly deserve and you thus become star struck with anyone who speaks arabic and screams salafi at the top of his lungs. You will be like this for years without gaining any knowledge and on top of that living in the lands of kufr with no strong support system at all. Just fools refuting one another at your expense. Sadly none of them have stepped up to show the people the way of a true student of knowledge and that is not to blindly follow anyone but to take from where they take.

    • Dear brother, the refutation is part of the deen.If refutations were haram, then how would you know Iblis is your enemy? You should listen to a lecture by our brother Abul Hasan Maalik on the topic of Refutation from the following link:

May Allah guide us to the straight path and keep us firm on His religion, aameen.

    • A better response copied from our brother Abu Yusuf Khaleefa’s Website:

Akhee baarakallaah feek, whoever you are, don’t defend the mistake of one who has made a serious error in explaining one of the narrations of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam). Have more jealousy over defending the religion instead of defending people and falsehood! What is this new methodology today that we can no longer command the right and forbid the wrong and if one does the people cry victim or the people cry that the person is causing division?! You want that everyone be silent and people are left to say whatever they want to say?! By Allaah this is not the way of the people of the Sunnah. Now you tell me which scholars have differed regarding the points mentioned above against our brother Abu Laylah in connection to the Hadeeth?! Let’s not get off topic. He made an error he needs to repent. The explanation he gave opens the door to hizbiyyah. Rather it would be better for you to not respond with these doubtful matters. Whoever you are may Allaah guide us and you to have correct understanding of this Manhaj, Aamen.
